If your pet should eat any portion of a poisonous plant, immediately call your veterinarian or emergency vet clinic to find out what to do. If you can not reach anyone, there is a Poison Hotline available.
The ASPCA/National Animal Poison Control Center  has been in operation since 1978. It is the only animal-oriented poison information center in North America. Telephones are answered by licensed veterinarians that are trained in toxicology or by board certified veterinary toxicologists.
